Daily screening, masks and social distancing still in effect across health system

As announced recently, UK HealthCare is following a phased approach to reopening based on community prevalence and number of active inpatients. All providers, staff, patients and visitors are still required to perform daily screening, wear a mask except when eating, maintain social distancing and be diligent about hand hygiene.

  • Vaccination is not mandated but is highly recommended. UK HealthCare providers and staff are not required to submit vaccination documentation; however, it may be advisable to do so if your COVID vaccination was obtained outside of UK HealthCare’s COVID vaccination events.
  • Domestic travel at UK HealthCare is governed by the university’s policies, which the president has announced will be allowed again. Those traveling are highly encouraged to be fully vaccinated.
  • The university is following CDC guidance for international travel. See our updated travel guidance for UK HealthCare faculty and staff issued on May 4.
  • UK dining facilities located inside UK HealthCare facilities will continue to follow UK HealthCare guidance on reduced capacity.
