Non-COVID inpatients are allowed one designated visitor, typically an immediate family member, after appropriate screening. The visitor can come on admission, and it is preferred that the same visitor stay until discharge. However, to address specific circumstances, visitors may be allowed to switch out once a day at the discretion of the unit manager/director.
The visitor must remain in the patient’s room while in the hospital building and leave only to get meals. The visitor cannot leave the floor to smoke.
Additional family members may be approved and screened to visit for special circumstances as determined by the unit manager/director. These exceptions should be communicated to Demmie Meyers and COVIDfirstname.lastname@example.org.
